Overview

This event is open to all faculty members and students at Universities within Texas.


1. Each attendee/institution is responsible for arranging transportation to and from Winedale

2. Breakfast, lunch, coffee and refreshments will be provided at the event.

3. Wireless Internet is available at the venue

4. Poster Easels, boards and poster putty will be provided at the venue. Poster boards are 30" by 40" in size. Each poster presenter is required to print and bring their poster with them.

5. Each attendee is required to register by October 5th 2009.



From Houston:
  1. Take 290 West
  2. At Carmine, turn LEFT off 290 onto Spur 458. (There is a small green highway sign with Round Top and left arrows.)
  3. Go about a mile down Spur 458 and take the fork to the RIGHT to Round Top.
  4. After about 6 miles, turn LEFT onto FM 1457 at the blinking light in Round Top.
  5. After about 3 miles, turn LEFT onto FM 2714. (There's both another green highway sign on the left side of the road with a left arrow and a big WINEDALE sign on the right of the road.)
  6. Drive 1 mile down the road. When you get to Winedale, there will be a split rail fence on the right. The visitor's center is on your left.
From Austin:
  1. 290 East through Elgin and Giddings
  2. At Carmine, turn RIGHT off 290 onto Spur 458. (There is a small green highway sign with Round Top and right arrows. There are also some greyish store fronts.)
  3. Go about a mile down Spur 458 and take the fork to the RIGHT to Round Top.
  4. After about 6 miles, turn LEFT onto FM 1457 at the blinking light in Round Top.
  5. After about 3 miles, turn LEFT onto FM 2714. (There's both another green highway sign on the left side of the road with a left arrow and a big WINEDALE sign on the right of the road.)
  6. Drive 1 mile down the road. When you get to Winedale, there will be a split rail fence on the right. The visitor's center is on your left.
